Free Veterinary Care for your Animals

If you are receiving housing or council tax benefit then you are entitled to free veterinary care by the PDSA (Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals. The PDSA was founded in 1917 and as veterinary surgery's all over the UK. You can contact them on 0800 731 2502, to find your local surgery. The free care is for both sick and injured animals. They will also neuter your cats and dogs free of charge.

To register for PDSA help, a person must provide proof of receipt of benefit by showing an award letter from their Council or similar documentation. In addition at Pet Aid hospitals confirmation of personal identification is required. Once registered, the pet owner is provided with a Client Agreement that they are asked to present each time they bring their pet for treatment.

Remember the PDSA is not just for Cats and Dogs but all pets. With Veterinary bills so high this benefit should be utilised.
